Microphone Access
Required solely to calculate decibel (dB) sound intensity levels. Audio samples are converted into loudness numbers in volatile RAM and immediately discarded. Zero audio files or voice fragments are ever recorded.
Location Access
Used optionally to auto-tag episode logs and build your private Safe Places Map. You can disable location access at any time; manual location tagging and core app features function fully without it.
Push Notifications
Required to send real-time threshold alerts when environmental noise exceeds your personal safety limits, as well as gentle morning Noise Forecast reminders on predicted loud days.
